WiFi Notes

Journey to CWNE & CCIE Wireless

About Me

Hello! I am Christopher Nuss and I am born and raised in Texas. I started my networking career in 2015 as Tier 1 helpdesk support at a wireless managed service provider, and quickly moved up to Tier 3 support. Early on I quickly realized my enjoyment of working with WiFi technologies.

In March 2018, I began my first network engineer role at Texas A&M Health Science Center where I quickly established myself as the WiFi SME in the team, and was given opportunities to redesign high-density environments. During this time I acquired a CCNA-Wireless.

I moved back to my home city of Houston in 2019, and began working with Safety Vision. This was a new type of challenge as I had to design WiFi deployments in both high and low density, high throughput, and all outdoors.

Currently, I work for a large oil and gas company, TechnipFMC. I enjoy this environment very much as there is a wide spread of WiFi deployments that must be considered.

As of 2024, I currently hold a CCNP-Enterprise certificate, and I am working on my way to CWNE & CCIE Wireless. The purpose of this blog is to provide detailed notes of each exam topic within the blueprints for both of these expert level certificates. I hope that the information I am sharing will help and inspire others.
